Looking for better lettering and scrolls

I have downloaded free fonts but don’t know how to use them, they all come down on a page with font letters on the page but can not access or do anything with that page, if that makes sense.
Is there a website or program I can choose and edit my fonts and save them on the website ? I just want a very easy to use program
